Reeltime!

What is Reeltime!?

Reeltime! is a group of people who have attended a ceilidh, perhaps in Scotland, perhaps in Cape Town, or who have heard of such an event, and are keen to experience it for the first time, or in more depth.  We offer novices the opportunity to come along and be instant dancers (even those who profess two left feet).  We offer those who come from a ceilidh background the opportunity to learn dances that are perhaps more easily absorbed in a smaller group than on a full-on ceilidh floor with 100 other dancers.  (See our Cape Town Ceilidh Club link to read about the public ceilidhs we offer.)  Come and learn the Eightsome Reel, the Dashing White Sergeant and the Flying Scotsman.
Below you will find details on how to join, where we dance, and the cost involved. It’s an investment you won’t regret. We look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and sharing the dance floor together.

How to join?

Reeltime! is held twice a month for 11 months of the year (January to November), on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The sessions are 2 hours in duration, from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm and include a short break.
Reeltime! costs R70 per session, or R600 for a 6 month membership (which covers 12 sessions).
